Charles Fischer • Director

Charles Fischer is the former CEO of Dow AgroSciences and has served as chairman of the Dow AgroSciences Members Committee. Charles was the first person to serve as president of both CropLife International and CropLife America and was a board member of the Biotechnology Industry Organization. He was named 2002 Agribusiness Leader of the Year by the National Agri-Marketing Association and is a past chairman of the National FFA Foundation.


William Lambert • Director

Bill Lambert is a former Partner at Birch Hill Equity Partners (TD Capital), a private equity partnership that has $1.7 billion in capital under management. Birch Hill is a leader in mid-market buyout private equity in Canada. Bill has sat on the boards of several companies including Marsulex Inc., a Toronto-based environmental services company, BIOX, a biofuels company and Ag Growth International, a leading manufacturer of grain handling, conditioning and storage equipment. He has 22 years of experience in the private equity and merchant banking industries, and ten years experience in consulting.


Warren Libby • Director

Warren Libby has over 30 years experience in the chemicals industry. He held several senior positions at Ciba-Geigy Canada starting in 1976, and went on to serve as President of Novartis Crop Protection Canada then as President of Syngenta Crop Protection Canada. Starting in 2001 he helped grow Engage Agro into one of Canada's leading suppliers of chemicals to the specialty crop markets. In 2003 he sold his share in Engage to create a new company called Evergreen Bio-ceuticals Inc. Mr. Libby is currently President of Evergreen Bio-ceuticals Inc. and co-owner of Wellington Agribusiness Developments Inc. He has also served as past Chairman of the Crop Protection Institute of Canada, Vice-Chair of the Agricultural Leadership Trust, and a member of a wide variety of industry committees and industry boards.


Mark MacDonald, ICD.D. • Director

Mark MacDonald was a Vice President in the private equity arm of Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board, where he co-led and co-managed direct and fund equity and mezzanine investments in private and public companies, in North America and Europe in amounts ranging from $20M to $400M. He also co-managed the start-up of a publicly listed alternative asset manager. Mark has extensive governance and financing experience, having sat on 13 boards, including Bennett Environmental, Sun Media Corporation, AT&T Canada, and Trimac Corporation.


Neil Reid, Ph.D. • Director, Chair

Dr. Neil Reid was the co-founder, Senior VP Strategy Development and General Manager of MDS Sciex from 1974-1999. At present, Dr. Reid is a senior management consultant. Until October 2005, Dr. Reid was Senior VP of Protana Inc., a company formed from the merger of MDS Proteomics Inc. and Optimol Inc. (of which Dr. Reid served as the President and CEO from January 2003 until the merger). Dr. Reid also co-founded MDS Proteomics Inc. in 2000 holding the positions of CTO from December 2000-April 2001 and Senior VP from 2001 until its merger with Optimol Inc.


Amy Yoder • Director

Ms. Yoder is the former President of Arysta Lifesciences North America. Amy has been in the agricultural industry for over 20 years and has served on boards with CropLife America and RISE (Responsible Industry Sound Environment). She is currently a board member with Compass Minerals and is a member of Clemson University Foundation Board as well as President for the Sigma Alpha Foundation to promote women in agriculture.


Keith Thomas • President & CEO

Keith Thomas is a proven entrepreneur and was most recently CEO of Vector Innovations, which was backed by a number of well regarded venture firms and successfully exited. He has led a number of large-scale projects, restructuring companies in 3 countries at New York-based Tandon Capital, managing strategy and operations projects at Booz Allen & Hamilton and completing corporate finance transactions at Citibank in the US and Europe. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and a Governor of the University of Toronto. He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University, an M.A. in Economics and a B.A.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Toronto.


Darren Anderson, PhD • Chief Communications Officer & VP Regulatory

Darren Anderson, PhD was the founding President of Vive Crop Protection and is a member of Vive’s Board of Directors. Dr. Anderson previously was Vive’s Chief Technology Officer and oversaw the development of Vive’s AllosperseTM Delivery Technology, which was Highly Commended for Best New Formulation Innovation at the 2012 Agrow Awards. Dr. Anderson currently leads Vive’s regulatory affairs and communications activities, and successfully obtained regulatory approval for the first products containing Allosperse with the US EPA. He is the author of 13 issued patents, 44 pending applications, 10 refereed papers, and over 40 conference presentations and publications. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Toronto as an NSERC Doctoral Fellow.
