August 3, 2023 – Vive Crop Protection is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Martha Schlicher to its Board of Directors.
In her role as an Executive in Residence at BioGenerator, Dr. Schlicher serves as the CEO of Impetus Agriculture, as Chairman of the Board of Plastomics, and as a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Solis Agrosciences. She works closely with the BioGenerator Ag Ventures team to advance new innovations in agriculture by making the region attractive to agricultural startups and fostering the formation and advancement of new companies.
“I have been watching Vive for some time, and I am pleased to be joining their board to lend my expertise in the agtech space and support this rapidly growing company,” says Dr. Schlicher. “I feel fortunate to be joining Vive at a period when their growth is really taking off and we are starting to see the real-world impact Vive’s Precision Chemistry solutions have on the acre.”
Dr. Schlicher has more than 30 years of global life sciences experience leading the identification, development, commercialization, strategy, marketing, sales and financing of early to late-stage agricultural technologies as an executive at Monsanto and Mallinckrodt as well as startups in the agricultural sustainability space. She serves as a Biosciences Expert Advisory Committee Member to Lawrence Berkeley National Labs and as a past advisor to the Secretary of Energy, Dr. Ernie Moniz. She has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Dr. Schlicher will replace Amy Yoder, who first joined Vive Crop Protection’s Board of Directors in 2015. Additionally, with Keith Thomas’ term as Board Chair coming to a close, William Lambert was elected to the position of Board Chair.
