Vive Crop Protection announces that Darren Anderson will step into the role of CEO effective July 1, 2019.
Anderson was most recently the President of Vive Crop Protection and is one of the co-founders of the company. Over 13 years, his roles have included product development, marketing and communications and new business development. He has been critical to the organization’s success, moving from concept to commercialization.
Anderson assumes CEO responsibility from Keith Thomas who moves to Executive Chair of Vive’s Board of Directors and remains one of Vive’s key investors. Thomas was instrumental in the startup and rapid growth of the company and is credited for gaining financing required to become a fast-growing company in a competitive marketplace. In July, Vive is closing its $13 million financing round.
Thomas says, “We are fortunate to have someone uniquely suited to scale the operation as Vive continues its tremendous year-over-year growth.”
Vive’s patented Allosperse Delivery System has unlimited potential in the North American and global crop protection markets. The technology allows chemicals that were previously incompatible to now be mixed with liquid fertilizer and applied at the right time for maximum benefit to the crop. It also saves farmers time and money by reducing a pass over the field. In 2019, Allosperse will be included in five Vive-branded products and a number of products through other manufacturers.
